Romania: The Final Qualifiers Have Been Decided!

The second semi-final Selecția Națională has taken place, where a total of 12 acts performed their entries with the hopes of receiving one of 6 places remaining in the Romanian national selection.

Originally the second semi-final was set to feature 13 artists, however Xandra withdrew prior to the semifinal. The voting consisted of jury voting predominately, with the jury selecting five acts to qualify. From there, the public was able to vote on the remaining contestants and the act with the most votes also qualified to the final.

Here is the full line-up:

  • 2 Gents – Ielele
  • Georgy – Tears
  • Olivier Kaye – Right now
  • Xonia – Discrete
  • TWM – Make me your man
  • Johnny Badulescu – Give up now
  • Echoes – High heels on
  • Aldo Blaga – Your journey
  • Letitia Moisescu & Sensibil Balkan – Daina
  • Laura Bretan – Dear Father
  • Ester Peony – On a Sunday
  • Linda Teodosiu – Renegades

Here are the qualifiers from the jury vote:

  • Olivier Kaye – Right now
  • Letitia Moisescu & Sensibil Balkan – Daina
  • Laura Bretan – Dear Father
  • Ester Peony – On a Sunday
  • Linda Teodosiu – Renegades

The public vote qualifier was Aldo Blaga with the song Your Journey.

The final will take place on the 17th of February. The qualifiers from this semi-final will join the qualifiers from the previous semi-final which were:

  • Claudiu Mirea – We Are the Ones
  • Dya and Lucian Colareza – Without You (Sin ti)
  • Teodora Dinu – Skyscraper
  • Trooper – Destin
