After months of rumours, it is now confirmed that Katerina Duska will be performing on behalf of Greece at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
This year the Greek national broadcaster ERT decided to internally select the Greek representative, and it has been said that the broadcaster decided unanimously to select Katerine due to her unique vocals as well as her music and lyrics.
Katerine is a Greek-Canadian singer songwriter who is currently based in the Greek capital, Athens. In 2016, she released her acclaimed debut album titled Embodiment, and in 2018, her single Fire Away was selected for a television ad campaign in Canada. Her music style has been compared to Lykke Li and Jessie Ware, and her vocal tone has been compared to Amy Winehouse.
