The Lithuanian national selection has now come to a conclusion, with the representative now selected for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel.
A total of 8 artists competed in the final of Eurovizijos, with a change to the line-up since we last reported. Monika Marija was set to feature two songs in the final, however she chose to withdraw the song Criminal, meaning she would compete with just the song Light On. To replace that entry, Alen Chicco was selected due to his 5th place position in the second semi-final.
Here is the final line-up:
- Alen Chicco – Your Cure
- Justina Budaitė-Junà – Strength of A Woman
- Henry & Tommy Modric – Neverpart
- Jurgis Brūzga – CTRL ALT DELETE
- JurgisDID & Erica Jennings – Sing!
- Monika Marija – Light On
- Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio Dantys – Mažulė
- Jurijus – Run With The Lions
The result of the show was decided with a mix of jury and televote. In the jury vote, the top point scorer was Jurijus with 12 points for his entry Run with the Lions. Receiving the second highest score was Monika Marija with Light On, followed by Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio Dantys.
In the televote, Jurijus also scored the highest number of points, again followed by Monika Marija and Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio Dantys. In fact, the jury and televote was completely unanimous.
