Earlier in the Eurovision national final season it was announced that Tamara Todevska was internally selected to represent North Macedonia at Eurovision this year. This is not her first participation at Eurovision, having competed in 2008 as part of the trio, Tamara, Vrčak & Adrijan.
The song that Tamara will be performing this year is titled Proud which was composed by Robert Bilbilov, Lazar Cvetkovski and Darko Dimitrov with lyrics by Kosta Petrov and Sanja Popovska. The music video which you can watch below was directed by Chedo Popovski.
Tamara spoke about her entry, saying,
I dedicate ‘Proud’ to my daughter and to everyone out there fighting for their dreams and believing in their greatness. On the 16th of May, we will break the rules and at least for one night in the year, we will show the world that I AM PROUD is always stronger than their YOU WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH!’
