The search for the next Ukrainian Eurovision entrant continued this week, with the second semi-final of Vidbir taking place on what was another Eurovision Super Saturday.
A total of 8 acts competed in the semi-final, with only three acts to qualify. The three qualifying acts from this week’s semi-final will join last week’s qualifiers in the final, which will take place on the 22nd of February.
Here is the line-up from the second semi-final:
- MoonZoo feat. F.M.F. Sure – Maze
- FO SHO – Blck Sqr
- Elina Ivashchenko – Get Up
- Oleksandr Poriadynskyi – Savior
- GARNA – Who We Are
- KHAYAT – Call for Love
- David Axelrod – Horizon
- TVORCHI – Bonfire
The voting consisted of 50% jury and 50% televoting. In the case of a tie, the participant with the highest televote would be chosen. The jury consisted of Andrii Danylko (Verka Serduchka), Tina Karol and Vitalii Drozdov.
This week the jury gave their top points to Tvorchi, followed by Khayat and David Axelrod. The public agreed on the best act of the week, and gave their top points to Tvorchi. In second with the public was Khayat, however third place was Oleksandr Poriadynskyi. With the points combined, however, the qualifiers were:
- TVORCHI – Bonfire
- KHAYAT – Call for Love
- David Axelrod – Horizon
