The next Maltese Junior Eurovision entry has been decided, with Ike and Kaya set to represent the nation in Paris later this year.
The selection was hosted by Elaine Saliba Bonnici and was held in the Robert Samut Hall in Floriana. A total of 12 acts performed their entries, with the winner to be selected by a 50/50 split of jury and televoting.
Here are the acts that competed:
- Emma Briffa – My Angels Calling
- Kylie Milcallef – Keep Your Drama
- Maria Curmi – Wild and Free
- Yulan Law – Change
- Eksenia Sammut – Building
- Amelia Kalabic – Dear World
- Rih & Bri – Drops like fire
- Ella Raina – Limitless
- Ike & Kaya – My Home
- Yulan Law – On My Way
- Marija Djinovic – Magic
- Myca, Kylie & Denzel Jo – Running Free
Ike and Kaya were determined to be winners while Mycha, Kylie & Denzel Jo finished in second place. Rounding out the Top 3 was Yulan Law with one of her competing entries, On My Way. The winning song was written by former X Factor Malta runner up, Owen Leuellen along with Muxu and Cyprian Cassar.
Ike and Kaya participated in Malta’s Got Talent earlier this year, finishing in fourth place during the live final.
