Public broadcaster in Switzerland SRF have announced more details on the Swiss national selection for 2016. From the 28th of September, the general public will be able to upload their songs online up until the 26th of October. After the closing date, an expert jury, as well as the public will select their favourite 10 acts to continue to the next phase of the contest.
The second phase is where the 10 acts will be joined by 3 sent by the Swiss-Italian broadcaster RSI, and 6 acts representing the Swiss-French broadcaster RTS. These 19 acts will perform live in front of a jury, who will then chose the best 6 acts.
After this stage, the last 6 finalists will take to the stage for the live final on February the 13th. The show will take place in Bodensee arena in Kreuzlingen. The winner will be chosen with 50/50 jury and public vote.
