Estonia to Choose in March

The Estonian public broadcaster ERR has announced that their national final Eesti Laul will take place on the 5th of March 2016 in the capital city Tallinn.

Singers and songwriters are able to submit songs up until November 2nd, and ticket information will be released by the end of October.

Stig Rasta who wrote and performed as part of the Estonian act for 2015 explained to Eurovision.tv that the competition is a stepping stone into European music culture. He says that ‘it makes you view your work more critically’ and is happy that he was able to perform his song both in Eesti Laul and Eurovision, which has allowed the song to be heard all across Europe, and beyond, which is a difficult task for artists to do.
