Israel has chosen! It’s Shir and Tim to fly the flag!
2016 marks the second year in which we will see Israel represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and now we know that it will be Shir and Tim who will fly the Israeli flag in Malta! The song that they will be singing is called Follow My Heart, which we still have to wait a little while longer to hear.
Auditions were held to find Israel’s representative in October, where participants from youth groups and stage schools were searched to find the winning representatives. Shira Frieman and TimoTi Sannikov were selected, and will perform under the name Shir & Tim.
The song, titled Follow My Heart was written by Noam Horev, who also wrote Harel Skaat’s Eurovision song for 2010, Milim. The composer is Dor Daniel, and he will also be in charge of the musical production. The video will be released in the coming weeks.
The last time, and only time Israel have participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2012, where Kids.il performed Let the Music Win, which you can listen to down below:
