Eurovision news from Poland has come in bits and pieces, but now we can reveal the acts who will take part in a national final. Krajowe Eliminacje will be the process that Poland uses to pick their act for Kyiv with the hope that they are able to improve on Michał Szpak’s incredible result in the televoting in 2016. In total, there will be 10 acts including a former Eurovision star!
Here is the complete list:
Martin Fitch –Fight for us
Kasia Moś – Flashlight
Carmell – Faces
Agata Nizińska – Reason
Rafał Brzozowski – Sky over Europe
Isabell Otrębus-Larsson – Voiceless
Małgorzata Uściłowska (Lanberry) –Only human
Aneta Sablik – Ulalala
Paulla – Chcę tam z tobą być
Olaf Bressa –You look good
As we mentioned above, there is one former Eurovision artist who is back in the game hoping to represent Poland, and hopefully yield a better result. Martin Fitch represented Poland in 2010 under the name Marcin Mrozinski, who performed the song Legenda, which landed him in 13th place in the semi-final. Since his Eurovision performance, he has grown his TV and music career between Poland and the UK, so potentially acts as a good representative for the international contest that Eurovision is.
Fans are sad not to see Margaret return to the national final after participating last year with the fan favourite song Cool Me Down, especially after rumours that she would be returning.
The final will take place on the 18th of February.
