It’s Czech Republic’s Turn to Share their Song!

Around a month ago, the Czech Republic announced their 2017 Eurovision act to be Martina Bárta, a relatively unknown artist in her own nation, however as her song My Turn suggests, this is in no way indicative of her talent. As expected, her song My Turn is a slower song rather than an upbeat pop entry. It has jazzy and soulful elements to it, which ties in with her musical background.

The Czech Republic have had a relatively short history at Eurovision, and certainly not the most successful. Last year was the first time that the nation had qualified to the final with Gabriela Gunčíková behind the microphone, singing another ballad called I Stand. Could this be a formula that works for Czech Republic?

Listen to my turn down below, and this post will be updated in due time to feature the official video. If you are loving this year’s Czech entry, make sure to vote for Martina in our Eurovision poll!
