As we reported a few weeks back, Ukraine were preparing for their national final through a period of submissions and then a semi-final took place to decide the 10 finalists who would participate in the final. The competition was held at the International Children’s Centre in Artek, based in Pushcha-Vodytsia.
Here are the 10 finalists:
Veronika Kovalenko
Pollianna Ryzhak
Duo “Hlamurchyk”
Sofiia Lozina
Sofiia Bondarenko
Anastasia Bahinska
Fedia Skliarenko
Darina Halytska
Sofiia Shkidchenko
Nina Boikova
The winner was decided through a combination of 50/50 jury and televote, and the winner was Anastasia Bahinska! The song she will be performing at Junior Eurovision later this year is called Ne Zupyniai (Do Not Stop).
Anastasia previously took part in the Ukrainian version of The Voice Kids, and also participated in the Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection in 2016 with the song Miy Svit.
