FYR Macedonia confirm Junior Eurovision participation!

After the recent disappointment of hearing that Ukraine will not participate in this year’s contest, we finally have some good news this week as it is revealed that FYR Macedonia will once again be present at Junior Eurovision.

The Macedonian broadcaster MRT has now confirmed that the nation will be taking part in the competition that will be held in the Belarusian capital, Minsk later this year. What we don’t know yet is how the representative will be chosen, but based off the last few years, it’s likely that it will be an internal selection.

With FYR Macedonia confirming, it brings the total participation list up to 14, including France who are returning after over a decade of non-participations, and Wales who are debuting independently.

Last year Mina Blažev represented FYR Macedonia with the song Dancing Through Life, which finished in 12th place with 69 points.
