Michael Rice to Represent the United Kingdom!

The United Kingdom has decided! Last night the BBC held Eurovision: You Decide, where six artists performed three songs in a set of duels with the highest voted artist and song combination going on to represent the UK at Eurovision this year.

The line-up consisted of:

  • Sweet Lies (written by Maria Broberg, Lise Cabble and Esben Svane) performed by Kerrie-Anne and Anisa;
  • Freaks (written by Jon Maguire, Rick Parkhouse, Corey Sanders and George Tizzard) performed by Jordan Clarke and MAID;
  • Bigger Than Us (written by Laurell Barker, Anna-Klara Folin, John Lundvik and Jonas Thander) performed by Holly Tandy and Michael Rice.

The judging panel consisted of Rylan Clark-Neal who is a Eurovision presenter and television celebrity, Mollie King who is a popstar and BBC Radio 1 DJ, and finally presenter Marvin Humes. The winners of the duels were Kerrie-Anne, Jordan Clarke and Michael Rice.

The British public had the opportunity to vote for their favourites, and it was decided that Michael Rice would represent the United Kingdom with the song Bigger Than Us. Watch the performance below:
