Over the last few months, Georgia has been airing Georgian Idol which earlier in the Eurovision season was decided as the national selection format for their next Eurovision representative.
In the final of Georgian Idol, each of the four participants remaining selected their running order for the show, then each of the singers went on to sing one original song each which if chosen would be their Eurovision entry.
Here is the running order:
- Giorgi Nakashidze – Sul tsin iare (Go Ahead)
- Liza Kalandadze – Sevdisferi zgva (Sad Sea)
- Oto Nemsadze – Sul tsin iare (Go Ahead) [WINNER]
- Giorgi Pruidze – Me mjera (I Believe)
The voting consisted completely of public vote despite there being a jury throughout the season. A total of 234,383 votes were cast via phone, SMS and Facebook, and with 44.13% of the vote was Oto Nemsadze with the song Sul Tsin Iare.
