Croatian broadcaster HRT have now announced that they will not be competing at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The broadcaster credited the budget as the factor preventing the nation competing, with insufficient funds to be able to participate at the contest. It wasn’t expected that Croatia would return to the contest, having last participated back in 2014 with Josie and her song, Game Over.
Croatia join Moldova and Montenegro, who have both recently confirmed that they will not be competing at the upcoming edition of the contest, which is set to take place in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland.
