Who will represent Germany at Junior Eurovision 2020?

Earlier in the Junior Eurovision season, it was announced that Germany would be making their debut at this year’s contest. Since that announcement, talented singers from across Germany have applied to become the nation’s debut participant.

Over 70 singers entered the competition, with a shortlist of 5 artists now announced. The remaining 5 artists will perform for the casting jury, which consists of music Producer Martin Haas, show and vocal coach Michele Huesmann as well as 2004 Eurovision representative Max Mutzke and Levent Geiger, who will compose the German Junior Eurovision entry.

The jury will decide which of the following 5 artists will go on to represent Germany at this year’s contest:

  • Linnea May (13, from Friedrichsdorf in Hessen)
  • Malaika (14, from Herrsching in Bayern)
  • Davit (12, from Neustadt in Rheinland-Pfalz)
  • Leroy Kay (13, from Neuruppin in Brandenburg)
  • Susan (13, from Berlin)
