The German Junior Eurovision selection has now taken place, with the representative and song chosen. Pauline will represent Germany with the song ‘Imagine Us’.
Over 100 participants applied to be a part of the selection, ‘Junior ESC – Wer Fährt nach Paris?’ however just three were chosen to perform in the final. The three finalists were as follows:
- Marta – A 10-year-old from Bad Salzuflen
- Pauline – A 12-year-old from Koblenz
- Emilie – A 13-year-old from Homburg
The artists performed a selection of songs specifically written for Junior Eurovision. All three performed their versions of ‘Imagine Us’, while Pauline also sang ‘Hausboot’ and Emilie and Marta sang ‘Gut So’. The winner of the show was Pauline with ‘Imagine Us’.
Speaking about her upcoming opportunity to represent Germany, Pauline said, ‘This is such a fantastic honour to have the opportunity to represent Germany in Paris. I’m sure that it’ll be a great experience and it has always been my dream to perform on such a large stage!
Pauline is 12 years old and lives near Koblenz. Other than singing, she also plays the drums and piano. Pauline has won several prizes at ‘Jugend Musiziert’ (Young People Make Music), a famous music funding project.
