Bulgaria: Intelligent Music Project Unveil ‘Intention’

The first Eurovision entry for the 2022 edition is now out. Bulgaria is first to release their entry, titled ‘Intention’, performed by Intelligent Music Project.

The entry debuted on BNT’s morning show, ‘Denyat Zapochva s Georgi Lyubenov’. Speaking of the entry, the group said,

‘The song raises the question of each of us’ personal inner struggle with outdated patterns of faith and behavior that pull us back. There is no safe area. There is a useless existence. Finding the right path, however, is a battle, even a war with oneself. Serious intention is needed to win the good!’

The group line-up often changes, but for Eurovision, the group consists of Bisser Ivanov, Slavin Slavchev, Ivo Stefanov, Dimiter Sirakov and Stoyan Yankoulov. Lead vocalist of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Ronnie Romero will front the group in Torino.

Eurovision fans will recognise Stoyan from his previous two participations at Eurovision. He participated alongside vocalist Elitsa in 2007 and then again in 2013.

The project previously worked with a number of international stars, including musicians who have worked with TOTO, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton, Styx and Michael Jackson among others.
