Portugal Decides: It’s Leonor Andrade!

Last weekend, Portugal’s national final selection Festival da Canção concluded, with Leonor Andrade winning the hearts of the Portuguese public. The line-up was as follows:

  1. José Freitas – Mal Menor (Ninguém me Guia à Razão) (Churky)

  2. Yola Dinis – Outra Vez Primavera (Nuno Feist / Nuno Marques da Silva)

  3. Leonor Andrade – Há um Mar que nos Separa (Miguel Gameiro)

  4. Simone de Oliveira – À Espera das Canções (Renato Jr./ Tiago Torres da Silva)

  5. Teresa Radamanto – Um Fado em Viena (Fernando Abrantes / Jorge Mangorrinha)

  6. Gonçalo Tavares – Tu Tens uma Mágica (Gonçalo Tavares / José Cid)

The first round of voting selected the top three songs to proceed to the superfinal, with these acts being Leonor Andrade, Teresa Radamanto and Gonçalo Tavares. The first two were chosen by televoting, and the jury, who was made up of the composers competing, chose Gonçalo Tavares as their jury pick. The final result was decided by televoting only.
