Eurovision Union’s Weekly Playlist (25/52)

Every week, Eurovision Union is dedicated in bringing you a specially curated playlist full of songs from all our favourite Eurovision and National Final stars. Whether they’re new tracks, or old favourites, you’ll be sure to find songs on the playlist you can’t help but put on repeat! This week we have a mix of new tracks as well as some national final songs that we’ve rediscovered.

Listen to the playlist here:

We’ll start off with some of the new tracks from former Eurovision stars, including the most recent winner of Eurovision, Salvador Sobral, who is now part of a group called Alexander Search. Although his voice is immediately recognisable, he’s going by a pseudonym, just to keep things interesting! We’ve also got Raphael Gualazzi – who like Salvador went the jazz route to Eurovision – with his new track called La Fine del Mondo.

From the two-time Eurovision stars, we’ve got Poli Genova, who is featured on our most recent Best of the Bunch post for Bulgaria, but has also just released a new track called Oshte. Donny Montell also represented his nation Lithuania twice at Eurovision, and he’s also just recently released Move Your Body.

From Greece, we’ve got 2008 representative Kalomira with one of her most recent releases, Shoot ‘Em Down. We’ve also got Nikolas Raptakis, who you might not recognise by name, but he was part of the 2014 Greek act, Freaky Fortune ft Riskykidd. We have his most recent release, titled Varieme.

From the Baltics, we’ve got national finalist Liis Lemsalu who has competed in Estonia’s selection Eesti Laul a few times now. This week we’ve got her most recent single titled Sinuga Koos. We’ve also got Ott Lepland, who represented Estonia back in 2012. Earlier this month, Ott released the single Siin me kokku saime, which you can listen to on this playlist!

We’ve got more new music from previous Eurovision stars, including 2017 Danish representative Anja, who released a new EP not long after her Eurovision performance, so we’ve featured the song Drive this week. We’ve also got former Moldovan representative Eduard Romanyuta, who has been hit or miss with his music outside of Eurovision, but we are a fan of his newest song Million.

From Loïc Nottet, the Belgian fan favourite, we’ve got a track off his debut album Selfocracy, with the track titled Wolves. Also off one of our most anticipated albums of earlier this year, we’ve got Kal Bugün from Can Bonomo’s album Kâinat Sustu. Also from a previous Eurovision star, we’ve got the song Tequila & Lemon by Elena Risteska.

We’ve featured a few Swedish national final stars this week also, including ISA with the song Light On, which she released earlier this month. From the 2017 Melodifestivalen season, we’ve got the FO&O with the song My Girl, which features off their post-Melfest album which is self-titled. We’ve also featured a Swedish language song by Anton Ewald, titled Du & jag.

New tracks from national final stars Include Sick of Love, which is by Ulrikke, who performed in the Norwegian national final this year, but lost out to JOWST who went on to represent Norway at Eurovision. We’ve also got some national final songs which we’ve just rediscovered, including Only Human from Lanberry, who was a part of the Polish National Final this year. We’ve also got Calling Mercury, who were a part of the Danish national final with the song Big Little Lies. Last but not least, we’ve got the Italian Sanremo star Chiara with her 2017 song Nessun posto è casa mia.
