Eurovizijos is Complete! Here’s the Lithuanian Eurovision Entry!

It’s been a mammoth national selection featuring no less than 50 acts competing in the televised competition in Lithuania. The national selection, which began in January has seen a number of heats, semi-finals and finally now, in the final week of national selections for the 2018 Eurovision season, we have the final.

A total of six artists performed in the final, with those being:

  • Monika Marija – The Truth

  • Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė – That Girl

  • The Roop – Yes, I Do

  • Paula – 1 2 3

  • Jurgis Brūzga – 4Love

  • Ieva Zasimauskaitė – When We’re Old

As we know from previous weeks, the voting consists of both jury votes as well as the usual public vote, so let’s go through the voting to see who will be representing Lithuania! We’ll start with the jury votes, and this week the top points went to Jurgis Brūzga, who has been a favourite with the juries throughout the competition. Coming in a close second with the jury, trailing behind with only 1 point difference in votes was Ieva Zasimauskaitė who scored the 10 points. In third with the jury was Monika Marija with the song The Truth.

It would all come down to televotes, and the winner by an overwhelming amount of votes was Ieva Zasimauskaitė with her song When We’re Old, which scored no less than 20,335 votes, giving her the 12 points. In second was The Roop with their song, Yes, I do and in third was Monika Marija with her song The Truth.

With the points combined, it was clear that Ieva Zasimauskaitė would represent Lithuania with her song When We’re Old. Throughout the competition Ieva has scored top points from both jury and public almost every single time she has performed, so it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that she has once again topped the table.

In second with 19 points was Jurgis Brūzga, and in third was The Roop. Finishing out the top 6, we had Monika Marija in 4th, Kotryna in 5th and Paula in 6th.
