Fyr & Flamme to represent Denmark at Eurovision 2021

The Danish Eurovision selection, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has now taken place, with eight artists competing to represent the nation at Eurovision this year. The selection featured solely televote, with the voting taking place over two separate rounds.

Here are the acts that competed:

  • Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn – Højt over skyerne 
  • Nanna Olivia –Hvileløse hjerter
  • The Cosmic Twins – Silver Bullet
  • Claudia Campagnol – Abracadabra
  • Mike Tramp – Everything is Alright
  • Fyr & Flamme – Øve os på hinanden 
  • Emma Nicoline – Står Lige Her
  • Jean Michel – Beautiful 

The Superfinalists were:

  • Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn – Højt over skyerne 
  • Fyr & Flamme – Øve os på hinanden 
  • Jean Michel – Beautiful 

Winning with 37% of the vote was Fyr & Flamme with their song Øve os på hinanden. In second place with 34% of the vote was Jean Michel, and in third was Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn with 29% of the vote.

The group confirmed after the competition that the song will remain in Danish for Eurovision. It is the first time since 1997 that the Danish entry will be performed completely in Danish language.
